Saturday, August 27th 2005. 95% of this workout was all new stuff. The multi rep 6-12-25 bicep program was so intense, it really can’t even be described… it has to be experienced. I haven’t felt a bicep pump like this in years!

Thursday, August 25th, 2005. Today I hit back in my late morning session and came back later for calves. Today’s back workout was 100% rows and my goal was to work on the middle-upper back area including the upper lats, rhomboids and lower trapezius. This program nailed it! I was sore right in that spot between the shoulder blades.

Tuesday, August 23rd August 11th, 2005. Yup… Leg day again! No “quad hobbler” this time… I’m feeling pretty carb depleted today and I think that repeating last week’s routine would just about kill me. Leg presses, front squats, leg extensions, leg curls for today, nothing too fancy, but check out the commentary and I’ll show you how I change my foot position to really blast the frontal quads and avoid “big butt syndrome”

Friday August 19th. Shoulders and Triceps with Richie again. Once again, Richie proves that it doesn’t take heavy weights to get a good workout. Cable laterals with only 20 lbs… dumbbell kickbacks with only 15 lbs… both absolutely destroyed me… all it took was a tweak in form here, and a change in angle there, and then leverage and gravity did all the rest…

August 17th, 2005. Remember that 1990 movie with James Caan called Misery? If you saw it, how could you forget “that scene?” I won’t spoil it in case someone reading this hasn’t seen the movie, but basically it’s a Steven King thriller where a certain “psycho lady” does something very painful to James Caan so that he can’t walk normally afterwards (she called it “Hobbling”). Since I couldn’t walk normally for days after THIS workout, I decided to call it the “Quad Hobbler.”

Tuesday, August 16 th 2005. Strong & Shapely Gym Again. Still not doing any really heavy chest training, but went a little heavier today, using all machines (no free weights this time), and the pec felt fine. In fact, this was the best chest workout I’ve had in a long time. Huge pump. The bicep routine was awesome too. I was really focused and on point today, mentally and physically… “In The Zone”…

Sunday, August 14th, 2005. Strong & Shapely gym, East Rutherford, New Jersey. This is the place I train when I want to use new machines or put some variety into my routine. Shapely has over 40 back machines, including a full line of Hammer Strength equipment, which we put to good use today. It was another killer session, and I could see the difference the day after.
